Thank you for visiting my website!
My name is Silvia Sanasi – I am Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship and Strategy at the Department of Management of the University of Bergamo, Italy, where I am also a member of the Center for Young and Family Enterprise (CYFE). I am also a faculty member at the Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Management – where I teach within executive, corporate, and specializing programs – and at USI - Università della Svizzera italiana. I am also accredited as Associate Professor of Management Engineering by the Italian Ministry of University and Research.
Starting in 2025, I have been serving as Representative-at-Large for the Academy of Management's Strategizing Activities and Practices (SAP) interest group, and as an Associate Editor for the journal Creativity and Innovation Management. I also serve on the editorial boards of the Journal of Product Innovation Management and Research-Technology Management.
I received my Ph.D. (cum laude) from Politecnico di Milano’s School of Management in 2022. My PhD dissertation, titled "Business Model Experimentation: A scientific approach to Strategy and Entrepreneurship," was selected as a finalist for the Outstanding Dissertation Award of the Academy of Management's Strategic Management (STR) division.
Prior to joining UniBG, I was Assistant Professor at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.
Between 2020 and 2021, I have been a visiting researcher at the Institute of Innovation Management and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich, Germany.
I hold a B.Sc. in Architecture and Urban Studies and a M.Sc. in Management Engineering with a major in Design Management, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship from Politecnico di Milano.
Outside academia, I am an outdoor sports enthusiast, a proud cat mom, and an avid traveler. To date, I’ve explored 45 countries – from Alaska's icy landscapes to Japan's vibrant culture (and delicious food) – and I look forward to discovering many more.
